Profile Description
I have started with an idea. Everything seems possible and the whole world is at my feet. But there will be times when I am down and ready to give up.
How this helps you
Be prepared that you will spend 80% of your time on stuff other than your original idea, the product or service it came from and the value you wanted to provide. HR, legislation, taxes, rules. As it is your company, you’ll have to learn how to get energy out of these processes.
What is it?
Dark matter is a term to describe the different elements that are part of your role as an entrepreneur, but which you didn’t necessarily consider when you had the idea of starting your business. This includes very important duties and obligations which you will need to attend to in order to make your business work. These elements may seem to you a bit like dark matter in outer space: they are hard to identify but have a significant impact and therefore shouldn’t be ignored.
How does it relate?
Being an entrepreneur really requires a lot of hard work. And so there will be things that inspire you less. But it’s better to think about how to deal with these important things in advance as well. At least you can then prepare for it rather than wait for it to suddenly knock you off your feet indefinitely.
